How to Use X-Captcha Extension

The X-Captcha extension is designed to run silently in the background and automatically solve captchas with minimal manual interaction. Here is a complete guide on how to use it once installed in your browser.

1. Opening the Extension

  1. Click the Extensions icon (puzzle piece) in the top-right corner of your Chrome browser.
  2. Find X-Captcha in the list.
  3. Click the pin icon (📌) next to it so the extension is always visible in your toolbar for quick access.
  4. Click the X-Captcha icon in the toolbar to open the popup panel.

2. Entering Your API Key

Before the extension can solve captchas, you need to provide your API Key.

  1. Open the extension popup.
  2. Enter your client key into the API Key input field.
  3. There is no save button. The extension automatically saves your key a moment after you stop typing.
  4. A checkmark () will appear next to the input to confirm that your API Key has been saved successfully.
  5. Once saved, your remaining quota (Balance) will automatically fetch and display at the top of the popup.

3. Enabling Auto Solve

This is the core feature. When enabled, the extension continuously monitors pages for image captchas and solves them automatically.

  1. Open the popup.
  2. Look at the Power Button (⏻) in the top right corner.
  3. Click it to toggle the Auto Solve feature:
    • Gray icon: Auto Solve is OFF.
    • Glowing Purple icon: Auto Solve is ON.
  4. Once enabled, simply browse normally. Whenever a popup or page loads an image captcha (letters/numbers), the extension handles everything: it grabs the image, sends it to the API, and injects the text solution directly into the correct input field.

4. Enabling Auto Submit

If you want the form to submit immediately after the captcha is solved and filled, enable this feature.

  1. Open the popup.
  2. Click the toggle switch on the Auto Submit row.
  3. When toggled ON (purple), the extension will attempt to submit the form or click the verify/login button automatically as soon as the captcha input is successfully filled.
  4. When toggled OFF, the extension will only fill in the captcha text, leaving you to click the submit button manually.

5. Monitoring Status

At the very bottom of the popup is the Status bar. It provides real-time feedback on what the extension is currently doing:

  • Ready: The extension is standing by.
  • Solving...: A captcha was detected and is currently being processed.
  • Error messages or success notifications will also appear here (e.g., if your balance is empty or the API key is invalid).

!Workflow Summary

  1. Open any web page that contains a standard image captcha.
  2. Ensure Auto Solve (power button) is turned ON.
  3. The extension instantly detects the captcha image on your screen.
  4. The captcha input field is automatically filled with the correct answer without any clicks required.
